If you are every in Huntington Beach, CA, be sure to give Lou's Tri Tip a try. Santa Maria style barbeque, very good stuff. The Pinquinto beans are delicious. I moved away several years ago and dearly miss Lou's.

They were featured in the local newspaper last summer (The Register) by a columnist who was from the Santa Maria area .
I finally stopped by a few months back and it was good eating. They use red oak for smoke. Their secret, so to speak, is to slow cook it, then throw it in the frig and re-heat the next day. Owner swears the tri tip is much more tender and has a better smoke flavor when served the day after they are cooked. _________________ Gary
