Hi folks. I'm an American expatriate living in Thailand. Grew up in the midwest and California, so BBQ isn't exactly in my blood. But I DO love it. Last week I built my first smoker, and I've used it 4 times already. Looking forward to posting pics and maybe getting some advice on my next build(s)

Thanks for the welcome, boys.

Yeah, here in Asia they eat a lot of pork. At my local market you have one stop shopping. Pork, chicken, fish, shrimp etc. Real country style market. They really don't smoke here, just grilling. My wife said she could make real tender ribs " just BOIL them first". No, no, no.

So I built a little 10 gal smoker. Will do a thread today.

Once again, thanks for the welcome. It's really refreshing to see people helping each other out, and cooking and eating with real passion. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Thanks, guys. James my first pics post was in cookers. Short thread called " first smoker and first ribs" guess what it's about? Laughing Laughing

I'm ponderering a brick pit build. I like bricks, and solidly built stuff so it's a natural. Can't wait to get going.
