Rock N' Ribs 2007 August 24 - 25 put it on your calendars if your nearby, and want to visit, or put it on your calendars and sign up and compete, the more the merrier!
2006 Rock N' Ribs was the inaugural Utah State Championship, so here we are looking at 2007 as hopefully the second (new and improved) Utah State BBQ Championship. _________________ Here's a change Robert.

Yeppers, just announced yesterday that Aug 24-25 will be the dates for the 2007 Rock N' Ribs / Utah State Championship in SLC... As well, looks like we possibly may be having a comp up towards Logan, UT in late Spring, 2007 - and we are working towards a comp here in the mountains of Park City (home of the 2002 Winter Olympics) in late June / early July, 2007...
So, for those of you whose live/smoke in the Mountain West - and/or those of you who want to tie in a comp with a vacation to a beautiful part of the western US this next summer - mark your calendars now for the SLC comp - and be watching for more details on the Logan and/or Park City comps as details are worked out!! _________________ Dr. Mike

I competed in the '06 Rock N' Ribs competition (in fact, right next to Hoochie) and it was 100% first class. I highly recommend that you seriously consider it. I also look forward to the potential Logan and Park City comps. If there are calls to be had in Utah, I'll be there.

Here's hoping we get to be "cookin' neighbors" again, John! _________________ Dr. Mike

I'll have a standing request to be in your neck of the hood.
My goal this year is to do five comps and qualify for the AR. The possibility of three contests in Utah certainly is good news. I may not have to spend my entire summer on the road after all. I'd like to do one each month from April through August.
