I went through 2 or 3 Old Smokey pits in my younger days, the middle size of their current line is all I remember seeing and buying at the time. I'd typically burn all mesquite wood, no charcoal in them, which shortened their life spans and the life spans of the internals - but they fit my budget (which didn't accomodate charcoal at the time), and I turned out good food on them. I used it for brisket and chicken mostly, with an occasional other cut of beef I could find on super discount sale (like arm roasts).
I hope you enjoy your purchase! _________________ Let's hope SoEzzy can ditch his heavy hand on photos in 2016!
