To make a long story short........19 years ago my x-wife took off with my daughter who was only 1 year old at the time. I have been meaning to post this for quite sometime now....Anyway I found her and here is a pic of her, we are talking and very slowly trying to put things back together.....Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

Wow! I'd ignore the mother and get to know your daughter. Good luck! Oh!, serve her some of your brisket! _________________ "BBQ may not be a religion in Texas, but the two institutions are closely associated."

Ohman, I'm glad you've got her back! I went thru a divorce, and it messed with my daughters lives big time! Just let her know you love her, and don't even bring up the ex...your daughter probably knows a lot of the stuff, and doesn't need to be reminded. Just love her. Best wishes Bud! |

Ohman:
Your a lucky guy dude, you have been given a second chance with your daughter and thats rare. As orthers have said, keep the past in the past, your better than to trash your ex and besides, ask yourself, why does your kid need to know what happened, all she needs to know is you care and what kind of a person you are. Treat each and every day you get to spend with that beautiful young woman as a gift. Things happen for a reason some folks say and maybe the time you spent apart was so you could be truely appreciative for the time you now have. If that makes sense.
I too have gone through a real messy break up, it cost me every thing I had and then some to have my daughter and not just her memory.
I wound wish ya luck, dont think you need it, be thankfull. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

That's great ohman. I hope everything goes well for you getting to know her. You said you've talked to her a little. Does she like Q. Nothing bonds people like some ribs! _________________ Love the voodoo that Q do.

Thats Great ohman
I`m happy for ya. I`m a firm believer in "what goes around comes around" Nows YOUR time. 15 years ago my wifes ex-husband some how managed to get her boy away from her and by the time the kid was 18 he couldn`t stand the old man and couldn`t wait to move in with us. Long story short "what goes around comes around" Know what i mean.
Good luck....... |
