Check the video out.

At about the 2:45 mark in the video he has some of the biggest dang turkeys I've seen! Maybe it's the angle from the camera.

I've always wanted to get over there on some of my trips to Indy, but it's a little too out of the way when you're drained after a 5 day race weekend. Smile

That is a 2005 article, but none the less, they still claim to be the best. I have had meals catered from there. Lots of publicity and strong local following. There is better BBQ to be had in this state, and I don't even have a smoker here at my new house. (YET!)

IMO they are just another BBQ restaurant that is mass producing smoked food. A person can time their visit just right when some ribs may be fresh out of the smoker and get some better-than-average food. I don't like the mutton, (I have tried it, not for me Neutral ) Their pork is shredded and sauced in a pan. I have not had any of the ribs, but I am very critical of restaurant ribs and just don't bother with them.

The company that I work at (client/customer) uses Moonlight to cater all types of meals: traditional and continental breakfasts, deli style lunches, plates & buffets other than BBQ that is not bad at all.

So I am not all pissing and poo-pooing on Moonlight. Just don't think they are the best BBQ in KY.

I go there from time to time and is pretty dang good and the price is right. I promise you wont leave hungry. They offer alot of stuff and some very good deserts to boot. But Old Hickory in the same town as far as the BBQ goes is better. The Burgoo at Moonlight is very good! Peace
