No ketchup in my vinegar sauce, but I've had plenty of Lexington style sauce. Some folks will indeed fight over it, but I'm not one of them. Now... the “red slaw” they make using the Lexington style sauce is nas-tay. I'd rather eat sugar in my slaw. |
You had a perfect post going and effed it up!
I wish they would just come out and say that the red slaw was just cabbage and their bbq sauce mixed together because they were too cheap to make decent mayo and sugar slaw. |

100% of BBQMAN's clients like his slaw w/ sweet poppyseed dressing and Original Instant Gourmet spices.
Actually, most RAVE about the slaw, and claim it's the best they ever had!

(Cue ominous music and slow motion video of BBQ Man mixing slaw)
"Would you trust a man who puts sugar in his slaw? He claims that "most RAVE about the slaw". What other half truths and obvious deceptions is he trying to sell the innocent public?
He admits to using sugar, what else don't we know about this man and what he adds that he won't admit to?
(Cue picture of Poppa petting a puppy)
Poppa's PTL Club uses nothing but fresh vegetables, good ole Duke's Mayo and select wholesome spices with a touch of vinegar for that downhome tang you're granmomma fed you. That's a taste that somebody other than Hollywood and Washington elites would love."

Here BBQMAN does not believe in "half truths" of any kind.
Our faithful constituents may not always like the answer, but they can be certain it will be an honest one!
Our meat can't be beat, and neither can our sweet slaw.
Back on topic (sorry Marv, don't yell at me!) I normally bring four 44 oz squeeze bottles of our sweet and spicy sauce, one flavor only. That amount feeds 100 people.
For those who like it hotter, or those that enjoy a hot-sauce/vinegar style sauce we do provide hot sauce on the side. Local product, and people love it almost as good as our slaw!
We normally use 3 of those 4 bottles, but as noted some groups like more, some like less. _________________ BBQMAN

Let me see if I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down:
You use 4-44oz bottles of BBQ sauce and 3-4 bottles of hot sauce per 100 guests. Is that correct?
What size are the hot sauce bottles?
If I'm following you, sounds like we do about the same, but probably in reverse... I use about 2 gallons for 100 guests, but most of that is hot vinegar sauce. I do usually have some left, but not a lot.
Maybe folks around here are just sauce fiends. |

1-2 small (average size) bottles of hot-sauce Mike.
The "older" crowd doesn't like it that hot! _________________ BBQMAN
