Really going out on a limb with that one eh? Laughing

How many ranked teams lost to unranked teams last week? Shocked

Seriously, nothing is a given in College football and I fully expect my Tigers to have their hands full.

But I also think that Chase & Co have what it takes to come home with the first road victory against Nebraska in 30 years.

Well it seems that after the Tn vs. Auburn game Tn's quarterback Jonathan Crompton couldn't get into his Knoxville, Tn apartment. Someone had painted the front of his apt. to look like Tn's end zone.

In another story Tn's coach Phil Fulmer's house was vandalized by someone throwing a dozen eggs at his house. An empty egg carton was found in Fulmer's front yard. Jonathan Crompton, qb for Tn, is the prime suspect as only 2 eggs hit Fulmer's house. The other 10 eggs hit the neighbor's houses.

HMMMMMMM noticed this thread got kinda quiet with a few teams losing. Both tigers done, Norman battling Columbus for the CHOKE CITY title. Still some good looking teams out there.

I tell ya what, Florida really took LSU to the woodshed yesterday.

#1, 3 and 4 went down so now the question is will #2 Alabama move up or will #5 Texas jump all the way to #1.

I think Texas should be #1. They beat the #1 team (Oklahoma). Alabama didn't play this week & they didn't look too good against Kentucky last week where they squeaked by 17-14.

What Thom said. Shocked There's been MANY upsets this year..lots of games to be played. So before anyone starts making another gown for Cinderella of the week, don't forget a 2 loss team was in the NC last year I seem to remember...I sure wouldn't be betting my paycheck on anyone, or talkin' smack unless you have a crystal ball! I'm just happy to be here and God willing, I can help the team. Laughing

Missouri needed a sound beating this season to remind them that Heismans and Championships are earned on the field, not in the press and online.

I'm eager to see how they play against #1 Texas next week.

Being an Alabama guy I was hoping they would be #1, but you are right. They did not look good against Kentucky. They have to realize it is gonna take an all out effort for the whole game. Just because you are doing better than everyone expected you too, you can't let it go to your head. Hopefully that sinks in and they play some good ball the rest of they year cause they are gonna need it.

OK, we're halfway through the season, plenty of time to restart the discussion.

Biggest surprise, the Big 12 South is far and away (top to bottom) the cream of the conference subdivisions this year. As a die hard SEC guy, that hurts to say. 2nd biggest surprise, the ACC has had such a serious collapse. Clemson? GA Tech? Anyone want to step up? FSU has broken the top 20 this week, which seems to be the kiss of death for the ACC this year. GA Tech is the underdog, so that means they'll win (I get motion sick trying to follow GA Tech's ups and downs during a season)

Biggest disappointment, the new clock rules. If you can go into the 2nd half up by more than 2 TD's, you're almost a lock. I want more football, not less!

At this point, you still have a number of very good teams who have a good shot at making the BCS game (hey is Mizzou still in that mix or were they as overrated as I thought they were?). There's a pretty good possibility that you'll have three undefeated teams sitting at the end of the regular season making arguments. Even if Texas or Alabama stumble, can you seriously say that Penn State's schedule unquestionably qualifies them over either or of any of the rest of the top 10 this week? (PSU had better watch out for Michigan State) USC rated above UGA or Oklahoma State? I call shenanigans...thbbbht!!

Anybody still wanna' argue that the BCS is a better idea than an 8 team (minimum) playoff?
