HHHHmmmmm, I'd say that means that I know them "inside out" then, eh?? Smile

IF I happen to pull off the scheme that I'm currently plotting, there will be another sigtag change in the near future . . . and it won't NEED any restoration if that gives you a hint! Heck, I might even let ya'll come and see it for say, oh, five bucks a person or so . . . bring some good beer with you too!! Laughing

Thanks guys.
I haven't heard anything bad about Hastybake ovens.
I'm looking for a used one near Denver/ Colorado Springs.I can understand when eveyone has theirs for 15-30 years and why none are available used.
I might just have to buy a new one!
What kind of lump coal do you guys recomend?
Jon

Too bad you're not located closer--the annual Scratch and Dent sale starts tomorrow at Hasty Bake. I was over there today and was told that one guy drove in all the way from Arizona to take advantage of the deals! They have something like 80 grills that fall into this category they'll be selling. It will be a feeding frenzy there through Saturday.

I ONLY use Hasty Bake lump when I'm using charcoal in all my cookers.

Hasty Bake Lump is private labled Ozark Oak, and it's my favorite as well...

They are great grills, and very good smokers...

Mine's had a hard 20 years, I'm going to have Adam give it a major tune up this winter...

I may have him put a stack on it, what do you guys think?

Well I too love mine! I use a hand full of briquettes and cherry logs. Does almost as good a job as my Stumps GF223. I did add some expanded metal to the charcoal pan to keep the smaller embers from falling through too soon. A very worthy purchase if you ask me, especially at the price I got mine for. Very Happy
