Greetings all.
Been smoking for many years but finally got an offset about a year ago. Lookinto do my first Comp in October.
Funny story:
I was getting ready to do a test butt to get ready for MIL's 80th birthday. (Cooking 3 butts, 6 rack of ribs & 40 Thighs) I fired up my charcoal, rubbed the Butt, I was ready to go. Opened up the firebox and a bird flies out. I looked inside and there were 6 babies in a nest. Couldn't have been more than a day or two old....
So I did what any reponsible BBQ cook would do. That's right, I went out and bought a new one!! (well to be specific, I told my wife what I wanted for my birthday and then bought it)
Makes sense, right? |
