Hotdog, your cooker looks great and from the looks of that Butt and those ribs you have got it tuned in real well. Nice job on the cooker and the cook.  |

Just curious, what is the purpose for rotating the racks? Is there a temp difference from the front to the back or side to side in that pit?
I think it's really cool, but I am unsure as to what exactly it does. I have seen rotisserie type pits before, and understand their purpose, but this one is new to me. |

Sides....Potato salad, beans, fresh sliced tomatoes, cucumbers with onions in vinager and water and last but not least BEER. |

If I had to do it all over again I think Id just start fresh......Redoing someone elses work was wayyyyyy to much work . |

Jeff,
I was going to put an electric motor on the smoker. It would turn the racks slowly because the guy I bought it from said it had hot and cold spots really bad.......like 30* bad. So I had the rotating racks pretty much done when I redid the firebox, and with some adjustments I now have the temps within about 8* most of the time , and I think thats going to be ok. So the rotating racks really don't have any real pourpose now.....but it sure does start-up good conversation  |
