3 pictures with the table tops pulled out.

This is how the tabletops look when she is ready to go down the road.

This is how we turn our racks when smoking from the outside of the cooker. Usually turn it about every 30 min to 1 hr.

A picture of the 2 racks (pork butt on top)

Pork ribs with Roxys mustard sauce.....they need about 3 more hours till done

Hmmm...hadn't put Roxy's sauce on ribs yet, but now I'm thinking about it! When'd you brush it on, and how often?

That is exactly what my next pit build was going to do only my fire is going to be on the inside or at least part inside. Glad you made the first one. To me vertical is the way to go and with rotating racks. I would sure like to see pictures of the inside.

Great work.

Hey rubit,
Give me a few days and Ill post some pictures of the inside (when she ain't so hot and smokey). It may even be next weekend......Tons of hours at work Crying or Very sad !

There is a de-flector shield on the inside to help even-out the heat......Ive got it about 8 to 12* from the coldest spot to the hotest spot. Not perefect but close enough for me......LOL

No hurry on the pictures I have a car to rebuild first and got to talk my neighbor out of his tank which looks close in size to yours. But you have inspired me to start the negations on the tank.
Did you use some sort of thrust bearing on the bottom of the rotating shaft or just like a pipe in pipe?

I'll show you how I did it all including the bottom bearing for the rotating racks with pictures. I made it so both racks and all 3 sprockets and the main shaft will come apart in about 10 minutes Very Happy !
