What did I admit about myself? Didn't I state that I wanted to do better than that? Don't talk out of both sides of your mouth here. First you say that you're not showing up to get 10th you're showing up to be 1st. Then you say that you don't expect to be GC your 1st or 10th time competing. Then you ramble about "my goal is to always win" Well no sh*t!!! All the time and cash these competitors put in, that's EVERYONE's goal, including me. You know thw same guy over here that was happy to improve overall comp score over 33 points from the 1st to the 2nd comp, finishing better than teams I KNOW put as much time and effort into it as I do, and have been doing it longer. The goal is to win, not 25th, but I'm one huge step closer to achieving that goal. Where are you? If I can't take a little satisfaction out of the improvement shown, why am I in this game? You're will to win is no more than most, it's just you're ignorance to what other people are doing.

You really dont seem like much more than a troll.

Is it impossible to talk about BBQ on this board anymore? Seems like every thread turns into some asinine argument.

Yes I rest my butts.. But in compition there is little time for rest so bring a good lawn chair and mark your name on it so when you can rest your but you have some place to put it. Very Happy . Seriously yes even pork butt gets a bit of a rest prior to pulling it gives time for the meat juice to redistrupte. Most people that have done this for a while will help you with advice if you talk with them. Just dont wait till turn in time for questions. I have met the nicest people doing this and some real jackhorses. Kinda like on this form lately. Good luck with what you turn in and have some fun.

Who knows...it is a long season and the schedule is full of tough games. I think that they have the horses to pull it off, but I am not booking any plane tickets right now. I think that going into this season they just have to look at making the SEC Championship game. If they can get to the SEC title game they will be a good position to make the MNC game.

Even should UGA lose a game, they will have all of the opportunities to get back to the top since they will be playing plenty of prime time TV games against top teams. They cant drop a game that they should win and they cant get blown out. I think predicting an unbeaten season is silly at this point. If they are 10-0 then maybe...

Kteedid, thanks very much for taking my question serious and answering I do appreciate it.

"You really dont seem like much more than a troll"

It's people like MDS2 that make me seriously re-think my "PRO-LIFE"view.

Dawg, I agree with your assessment regarding the schedule, the SEC is brutal....and the BIG 12 is much tougher these days as well. I love college football and in fact I have a top 10 list of games I hope to attend before I die and the Worlds Largest Cocktail Party in near the top, when I make that trip you'll have to show me the ropes.....

Don't act like your question is all you wanted answered with this thread. If it was, the thread would be waaaaay buried by now. You asked a question and okie didn't give you the answer you wanted. He did answer it, go back and READ (yes I know how too). Maybe I went off too hard, but for you to question him on your motivation? Why do you think he cares? Go compete. Win all of your GC's, (because you care more than anyone else Rolling Eyes ) Rolling Eyes and tell us how you prepared the best comp meat in history. PLEASE!

Wow....for someone who's never competed, you're awful judgemental on mediocrity. I would suggest you wait to see how you stack up against the competition before you go judging someone else's results as mediocre.

IMO, you make it difficult to try and help you if you're just going to bash people for their advice. If you don't agree with it, maybe you should just say "thank you", disregard it, and move on.

Come on over to Oklahoma sometime and compete if you want to see how your food stacks up against some good competition. There are a few decent teams from this state. Cool

I must own stock in a multi-million dollar corporation???? What is that even supposed to mean?

Runza is not part of my investment portfolio, but i might have to check them out. They do make some pretty good fries.

Edit: Just checked, they arent even publicly traded. You may resume your scheduled trolling now.

Runza is a local restaurant chain. That make a sandwich that is stuffed with seasoned meat and cabbage. I really dont care for them myself, but their french fries are about the best that you can get.

"Wow....for someone who's never competed, you're awful judgemental on mediocrity. I would suggest you wait to see how you stack up against the competition before you go judging someone else's results as mediocre."

I respectfully disagree with your LOGIC here, why do I have to compete to know that I would never be happy simply finishing in the top 40%.

"IMO, you make it difficult to try and help you if you're just going to bash people for their advice. If you don't agree with it, maybe you should just say "thank you", disregard it, and move on."

Allsmokenofire, I have read thousands of posts on these forums over the last few years most of which have similar questions that I asked about BBQ, I mean it's a forum right? Do you agree that me asking if you PRO's rest your butts is over analyzing? You accuse me of critisizing those who are trying to help but I didnt say boo to the first few who answered my question including yourself, so IMO your accusation is unfair, besides he also reccomends that why wait get out there and compete now and do you remember my reply to that or did you not read the entire post? Well here is what I said " About competing this year hmmmmm, there is a nice event in November so maybe I'll just take your advice on this one." ....All I did was tell SmokinOkie that he might think I was Overanalyzing but don't question my desire to win, looking back I probablly should have asked him to not confuse the 2, but I didn't.

It's interesting that SmokinOkie has not replied and especially answered my last question.... Very Happy

Hey "BLOWINSMOKE", now that was funny my freind ....You must be "A MAN" and "40" at that Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Are you honestly surprised that people dont want to talk to you? I would imagine that is something that you encounter everyday.

With a "GAY" name like yours "Saucy Lads" I wish you would quit replying.

Notice I had no need to ask you the same question.....
