What's your fav wing sauce, either store bought or your own home-made recipe?

I like the Frank's Red Hot Hot Wing sauce. Then you have the Anchor Bar sauce that is great, but you cannot get it around here. Or you can make your own! I tried Hooter's sauce once, and it was ok, but if I can buy FRH, then I will get it over the Hooter's.

I would go with a little texas pete, butter, lemon, garlic, and pepper.

I like BW3 Spicy garlic, and mango habanero. Louisiana hot sauce is good too, but for some reason, i really love the 2 from BW3.

For quick and easy the Ken's Steak House Buffalo Wing Sauce is pretty good.

My favorite is Crystal, Franks Red Hot isn't bad either. Texas Pete works too.

3 Parts Favorite hotsauce (I only buy Franks or Louisiana)
1 Part Butter (Don't use margarine or any kinda odd chemical spread)
Then Salt, Pepper, and Honey to taste

Just throw it all in a saucepan and serve when all melted and mixed together

I like Texas Pete and whatever seasonings strike me at the time. Usually some italian seasoning, garlic powder, lemon pepper and season salt.

I do like BW3's Spicey Garlic and Hot BBQ on occasion. But their wings are so small it's not worth eating there.

The Anchor Bar recommends margarine over butter. They say it sticks to the wings better.

But other than that I use your same recipe.

If you are ever in Lincoln and want good wings go to the N-Zone. They have the best in town.

I eat hot sauce almost every day literally...My FAVORITE is Buffalo Wild Wings Wild.

However, I can't believe a place that specializes in hot wings could have such crappy food. They are super expensive and very skimpy portions. I buy bottles by the case...Their spicy garlic is also great if you don't want as much heat.

I have probably 30 different types of hot sauce at my house and I can say this has the best flavor and heat of anything I've tried...

Things like Franks, Crystal's, Louisiana are ok but they're just a basic louisiana sauce. Nothing special.

I prefer my breaded and I actually double bread them and fry...For breading I use a spiced flour with garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, cayanne pepper.

Damn I love wings!

Thanks! Will do.

If you are in NW Omaha, go to Tanner's and have the Blair Wings. They are a fried and grilled wing with some awesome flavor.

People always say, this bar and grill has the best wings blah blah blah...

However, they're almost always just a franks/crystals/louisianna mixed with a butter subsitute like DressAll. The ratios are just different.

I agree for the most part. But the ones I mentioned have something different than anything I've had before and I've had LOTS of wings in my day. I think it's the seasoning not the sauce though.

I've got a recipe from foodnetwork... ab's show i believe. It's for spicy orange wings. Those are always a big hit around my house. I'll see if I can locate the recipe and post a link.
Note: The recipe is only somewhat spicy but you can kick it up pretty easily

Edit. Here is the link to the recipe. I just add extra red pepper flake to kick up the heat. Also the recipe calls for baked chicken. I have both baked and fried them. I prefer fried. JMO Wink

I'm with you. I'm not implying that every place has the same stuff. Sorry if it came off that way

I am going to have to pick up some wings on the way home tonight!

My wife won't be too happy though. Not her favorite thing.

Maybe it's the after effects that's she's never too thrilled with. Wink
