I put in my order for a 314 3/8 pipe 36' X 6' smoker with back mounted fire box. Now if the welders in the plant can 'find' enough stuff to make it on the dog shift |

I was about to order one too. Someone on this forum posted some horror stories he had getting his & then problems with it operationally. I ended up buying a larger more mobile unit. You might check my first couple of posts on this forum, back when I was looking instead of cooking:)
Bates Pitts makes a great backyard model that I almost bought instead of the one you are working on, before I bought the big mobile Diamond Plate.
Check out the "Hot" model in the center of Bates's web page. It has a similar price & I think it has major advantages.

I cancelled my order & bought a Fat50 from Diamond Plate:

Travis (the man at Diamond Plate) told me they are starting to make a Fat40 (not shown on the site). The Fat40 is like my Fat50 but 4' instead of 5'. You might want to check Travis out too. I would probably have bought a Fat40, but I was able to get a Fat50 for the 2005 price, so it was very close in price to the Fat40 2006 price. _________________ Carpe Diem! & break out the smoker & cooler while you're at it! |
