We found a small water smoker in the shed at the fire station today. It looks like it is good shape. It has the bottom part which is vented and a rack that we assume is for the charcoal and wood. It has a center section with a water bowl and the grate for the meat. And it has the lid, only needs a thermometer. The only concern we have is with the bowl in place there is only about the 1" gap between the bottom grate and the bottom of the water bowl. There is spage to surround the bowl around the sides, but I dont think we can get much coal beneathe it. I though of just putting the coal in the very bottom but I dont think it will breathe well that way. Any suggestions???

Try a test burn and see, but I'll bet it'll be fine. Sounds like a bullet type and they cook mighty fine!

Got a pic you can post for us to look over?
