| I am very close to buying a longhorn form academy sports, but was wondering about how many racks of BB's can fit on it at one time without rib racks? Thanks in advance for your help. |

I've had it about 5 weeks now. Had to make a couple of mods
but I'm really happy. I had a smoke-ngrill before, I enjoy this smoker very much[/img] _________________ OK Joe Longhorn |

| without a charcoal basket, how often do you have to reload fuel? I was thinking about getting the size smaller than the Longhorn since I don't cook for a lot of people. I know the same mods pretty much apply, but just curious on the fuel times |

| I can fit 6 trimmed out St. Louis style slabs on mine without rib racks with rib racks I can fit 18. The most Boston Butts I've had on mine was 10 but I could've fit at least 2 more. I would also recommend using straight wood I've had trouble keeping temps up using lump with a charcoal basket. Burn time using straight pecan is about two hours between refuelings. They are more efficient than a Smokin' Pro but it is still and entry level offset. |

Man the OK joe just does not look that big to me, but I am glad to know it is. I think I will pick one up in the morn. One more question, I understand the need for the heat sheild but what does adding the elbow on the smoke stack do?
One more thing, you said it is an entry level smoker I understand that it is not a dpp or a lang but what about this makes it entry level? Is there something I should know before I buy it? |

| Thats my problem now, I have a bbq grillware vertical propane smoker and really like it but it is not big enough at times. Also it is hard to get a good smokey flavor with it. Figure if I get an OK joe I can use my propane one for an over flow smoker and also for side dishes. |
