Hey all,
I would appreciate some help on amount of food to cook. This is our first gig and would hate to run low. It is for a bank party and there will be 25 people. We're going to cook 2 packer briskets and whole pulled chicken. Side will be beans and potato salad. Question is how many chickens should we do? We're thinking three should do it. Does this seem like to much or to little? Going to start cooking in the morning so, any quick help would be greatly appreciated.

| If you seperate the leg quarters into legs and thighs giving you six serving pcs. per bird IMHO you are a bird short.... |

3 would be about dead on 1/8ths, which is what I usually figure on. I've found that for me the chicken disappears in this order: breast, legs. thighs, and wings. If you pre-slice the chicken breast from a whole 5 pound chicken (tenderloin in tact) you can get 3 1/3 pound servings from the breasts. So far this has worked well for me. That being said and since chicken is cheap, I'd do 4 chickens just to be safe. This way if no one wants wings, it won't matter. |

Hey Odd,
We are going to pull all the chicken for sammies. Would you still do 4 birds if it is all pulled?

| I don't normally do pulled chicken sandwiches, but yes; I think it will end up about the same. |
