Well I picked up my Char-Griller Super Pro today with the side box and got some mods done. Also pluged the holes i assume are for the Rotisserie with some left over bolts. Still need to do the smoke stack extention and season it tomorrow. Going to use some stainless flex pipe for the smoke stack extention to bend around the warming tray so i can keep that in. Also need to get the new thermos put in going to do one on each side.

Fire Box Mods used the shaker basket from lowes and some stainless bolts i have laying around.

also we changed the damper bolt so it didn't bind up and loosen the nut added a cut down tention spring and a longer bolt.

finally did the usual flip of the charcol try in the main body to use as a damper and then bent out the hooks to make it a bit more stable. I did snap a weld doing this but it still holds an should take 2sec to fix with a mig. May just flip them the rest of the way over and reweld.

well thats it so far doing the stack tomorrow and may weld up new shelves and wheels later on. Will update with new pics as i go doing spare ribs sunday.

That is almost exactly what I have done to mine. Same exact basket from Lowes too. The only other thing I have done was extend my stack with some flexible tubing, in the shape of and S. Good luck with yours and your mods. Mine doesn't seem to work worth a damn. It seems like I have to use a ton of fuel just to get it to 220. Then it doesn't stay long when you get it there.

Don't forget to line the MC with foil for easier clean up. I'd by the wide roll(18") it overlaps nicely. Last thing you want is a lot of grease build up and then when you use it for grill'n, big fire and smoke..
