Got the Pro BBQ Frontier Bundle from Fred's Music and BBQ
Total with shipping came to $259. WAY less than the WSM, and so much more room!
Pro BBQ Frontier, with the extra stack, and cover!!
Good deal right?? I have been waiting to get a WSM, but from what I am reading, these have the edge.
Now, how many baby backs can I get into this thing? I got a "Rib Roast" coming up in July |

best I could find before shipping was $199. Average before shipping is $250.
The ProQ is bigger because the stacker is included in the bundle!
Sucks too, because I could have gotten the WSM for $150 shipped through Weber(I work for a dealer), but I needed a $500 minimum order |

Congrats on the ProQ reptileink. You'll love it.
Using rib racks I can get 4 slabs of st. loius on a shelf (5 if I was to push it) so 4 slabs of BBs should fit nicely.
The charcoal basket isn't as deep as the WSM but I average 8-10 hrs per load which is plenty. I'll take one refill on a 14 hr. cook. _________________ Love the voodoo that Q do.

and there is three cooking racks right??
SOOOO about 12 racks + ???
Obviously one fill of charcoal will be MORE than enough for a full smoker of ribs, right??
Won't be even as close as a fuel hog than the offset I am sure.
I am assuming that methods used on the WSM can be duplicated here, correct?? (thinking virtual bullet recipes and such) |

But since you got the Bundle, you like??? I think that's what I'm going to go ahead and order here real soon.
Does it have bungs for additional temp gauges, or just the one at the top? _________________ Ducane NG

yeah, but that would have been an undertaking, and not sure my boss would have liked it.
Ummmm, the "bung" question is up in the air. The newer models have eyelets for inserting probes at different levels. I am hoping that this is a newer model, not just clearing out old stock. I can't tell you if I like it, I just ordered it 5 hours ago |

Yep. With the extra stacker you'll have 3 levels to cook on. Outside of the cook times, it can do whatever a WSM can do. IMHO even more conveniently. Being able to unstack at all levels to get at something is fantastic.
Unfortunately yours will also be the old school model. The last I heard from Ian, the newer models were only available in Europe. But, he is working on getting them here. Not that that matters to you now. I wouldn't imagine that putting the holes in for temp probe would be to hard. _________________ Love the voodoo that Q do.

They are able to be calibrated, if you have to... they sometimes get knocked about in transit. _________________
