I'm in the South Jersey/Philly area, and we're starved for new restaurants. We have the best pizza and cheesesteaks in the world available for delivery, plenty of Chinese places, and (in IMHO) an terrible overabundance of chain eateries. Been smoking for 11 years, the last 4 on a great rig. Cooked for friends and family the whole way through and a few years back started selling to friends and neighbors who asked. Now I've branched into a small amount of catering and my hope is to one day (soon) have a storefront.
Currently cook on a Klose Grill Chef which replaced my New Braunfels offset from the Home Depot. The difference is night and day - glad I stepped up. Looking to upgrade to a new rig with a ball hitch - looking at Klose, Lang, Yoder, Stumps, Cookshack and Ol Hickory (we can dream, can't we????).
My ribs and my butt are tops as far as quality, but I also do a mean BBQ ham. Do pork exclusively with one exception so far - beef back ribs. Brisket is my next frontier, although I don't think there will be a strong demand for it on a menu I'm compelled to try to master all the basics, and so far only brisket has eluded me.
Been reading these forums for about a year and feel like I know a few of you already (without looking - Marv, SoEzzy, and BBQMan???) and look forward to getting to know more of you through this forum.
...which is a gift from the BBQ gods if you ask me. Thanks everyone.

Welcome to the ring Petunia!
Couldn't agree more on the need for more BBQ in S Jersey. I've been here for almost 12 years and have yet to find a really good place. I've been seeing signs around Deptford for some palce named Rude Hawgs but i haven't had a chance to look them up or try them. Fat Jacks in Turnersville is Ok but it seems kind of expensive to me.
I'm trying to come up with the money for a trip back to Texas in the next couple of months. I stumbled across the web site for Underwoods BBQ and cafeteria on the ring tonight and made me homesick. I remember going to the one in Brownwood and the one in Lubbock as a kid. To us it was like going to a 5 Star restaurant. _________________ CharGriller Silver Smoker with mods
