Can some of you recommend a good place in Charleston for good "Q" . My daughter is there now on vacation and my son in law wants BBQ. Anyone know a good place. They are staying in the downtown area.
Thanks

If you like shrimp and grits for breakfast, then Hominy Grill, 207 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29403 · 843-937-0930 is a good bet.

When I think of Charleston I think of seafood, not bbq; sorry I can't help more.

The best BBQ in SC hands down is Big T Bar-B-Q in Columbia
Well worth the hour or so drive to get there.
7535 Garners Ferry Rd # C
Columbia, SC 29209

(803) 776-7132‎
Little hole in the wall place not far off I-77

Everytime I go to SC I make it a point to stop there.

Oh yea, if they don't want to travel, tell them to try Sticky Fingers...
I haven't eaten there in years, was a good place back in the day.

I like Little Pigs BBQ in Myrtle Beach. TINY joint, but good!

For Charleston there's always Melvins, but I'm not too big a fan of the style of bbq that family puts out.
