What doe everbody here do for entertaining their guests when having a cook-out(other that adult beverages and music). I just got a ladder golf set that people love to play. Trying to think of some more ideas to keep guests busy between the time they arrive and eat, and after eating. Ya can only talk so much _________________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal labotomy"

| Ladder golf is fun, but bean bags (Cornhole is what some people call it) is probably the best game for cook outs, drinking, having fun with friends. Google Cornhole building instructions and many sites should come up to show you how to build it, very fun, I've built 4 sets for different friends/family members/myself. |

yeah, but i don't want to get tired out with all that dancing, but the thought of extra Q does make it quite enticing _________________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal labotomy"

I personally like blindfolded lawn darts. Each team puts their hoop in front of them, then blindfolded you chunk lawn darts at each other. Last team standing wins.

Ditto on the horse shoes.
For short term excitement you can do what I did this weekend. Put a grease filled drip tray from the smoker on the gas grill to get it out of the way. Forgot all about lit the grill for some dogs and burgers - needless to say there was quite a "large" flame. Fortunately, it burnt off quickly without any incident, just a little embarrassment. |

Reminds me of an adventure I had with my gasser one time. I've got a small two burner and we were cooking several racks of ribs on it over an afternoon. By the time we got finished, the inside was a mess. I left it burning to try to get some of the sauce off of the grates when I look over to see the thing fully engulfed in flame. It had caught the drippings in the catch can and lit it, and the whole inside of the grill. Good think we had a fire extinguisher handy. Note, that the grill still works great to this day. You can't kill those Webbers, and believe me I've tried!

We like to play a Hold'em tournament when we can. It usually lasts quite a while and after folks get eliminated they get a little side game going on. Of course we just play for jelly-beans. Mostly we just sit around and talk. |

| Isn't there suppose to be carpet on the washer boards? I've played washers quite a bit and I've always played on sets that look exactly like yours but some carpet is attached to the top, usually an outdoor carpet or very inexpensive thin carpet. That's the way we play it at least. |

We don't use carpet, the finish on those boards is non skid. I do it with a mixture of sand and paint then you get no slides on the washers, those boards are two feet wide and four feet long. I never cared for the carpet, some people do though the paint just seems to weather better. |
