|

I have been volunteered to do the cooking at a church dinner in about 2 weeks.
My question is this, there will be about 60 people there and I need to know how many pounds of pork butt to buy?
I will be smoking it and chopping as opposed to pulling so it should go a little further and it will be served as sandwiches, but it will be a make your own sandwich type thing.
Many thanks for any and all help. |

| I would go with 35-40# raw. I find I typically loose a little less than 40% with the bone in butts. For sixty people you should yield at least 22 pounds or close to six ounces per person. That should be plenty for a church social. |
