I go thru about a case of Butt Rub every couple weeks. I love it and my customers do as well. I get it at wholesale prices so it is very reasonable. Great stuff on Butts and Brisket. I use it sparingly on my chicken as well. I know Byron and he is a really good guy.

Don't know Byron, but he seems like a really nice guy. I know alot of folks in my neck of the woods who don't use anything else...BUTT Byron's rub.

I'm sure he is a really nice guy! Doesn't stop his rub from being salty though! Wink

And as I respect Bryce, and find he is a nice guy too, I would have to agree on his salt opinion! Razz

And since the question asked was "how was it" that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Laughing

WOW!!

I just looked at Sysco's website to see if they offered pre-made rubs,

Most average out at $20+ per pound!!!

That is insane!!
I couldn't afford to use premade rubs at those cost's!

I think I'll stick to my own concoction, maybe package that and hope to sell it commercially if I can get that type of coin out of it!!

I hear ya' Harry! Very Happy

5 pound bulk bags of the product I have been using are $27.50. More than a fair price when you consider most 6 (and some 5) oz. bottles regularly go for $5.00 to $6.00.

At $5.50 a pound it is worth it for me (I use a lot) to just purchase what I need...............................

I use Bad Byron Butt Rub exclusively. I have used it for about the last 3 years. The primary reason is, it is close to what I used to make at home but, it is easier to just buy it already made. I am doing a little smoke for about 75 close friends in 3 weeks and the briskets, butts and ribs will all have some of Bad Byron's dust on them.

There are many fine rubs out there but his works for me. Sometimes I add a little sugar to it but not much.
