Hey Guys, I'm traveling and my journey tomorrow will take me on I-35 from Salina, Kansas to someplace just across the Texas border and we're gonna be hungry at the end of the day. I'm going to be crossing from Oklahoma to Texas about 5:30 pm so I've got some latitude for time and place.

Would anybody familiar with that route PLEASE PLEASE give me a recommendation for a place to stop for some DAMN GOOD bbq.

Thanks in advance!!

There is a Sonny Bryan's in North Fort Worth on I-35W not too far from the track and Alliance Airport. That and the Hard 8 BBQ is Stephenville, they have a Coppell location which is by DFW airport.

That is all I know about the ones in the DFW area, Sonny Bryan's was the only one that I would eat at when I lived there 15 years ago.

If your coming through Denton, Tx there is a Rudy's BBQ right off the highway. I don't have the address, but you could google it.

James.

Blue Pig at the Ardmore Airpark.... About 5 miles east of I-35 on Hwy 53.

You won't regret it and even if the BBQ was bad... and it never has been anytime I've ever been there... the meat working the counter there is very pleasing to the eyes.

Haven't tried this place yet but there is a fairly new place in Valley View called Fat Willies or something like that... Just remember it had "Fat" in the name... You can see it on the west side of the road as you are passing the grain elevator.... If you stop there be sure to give us a report.

Tried Stevenson's in Paul's Valley on Friday night and it was pretty decent BBQ too... Not up to Blue Pig standards but still very tasty.
