Well I just prepped 2 slabs of baby backs and a english cut roast for dinner tonight. I painted the slabs with the usual paste but I put together a different rub to pat them with. It it pretty basic and consists of Spanish Paprika, White Pepper, Grey Salt, Mustard Powder, Cayenne, And Oregano. They look and smell excellent.
The Slabs
The Roast
Painted with the paste
Ready to get patted with the dry rub
After the dry rub
I'll update when I get them going.

Well boy's I have good news and bad news. First the good news, the food turned out excellent, I loved the rub on the ribs and they were done to absolute perfection. The roast turned out great, it had a killer flavor and was very tender and juicy. For sides I made a few different things because some people had a different taste... so I made some mashed potatoes and gravy, seasoned herb bread, and a battered fry(which I have never done). I made a batter out of flour, milk, water, and creole, then I battered the home fries that were sprinkled with rosemary, garlic, and olive oil....man I dropped them in the deep fryer until they were crisp and they were unreal. So anyway here are the pics.
The ribs ready for finishing sauce
All sauced up
The roast
STARTING TO SEE WHAT THE BAD NEWS IS????
The batter fries
The taters and gravy
I bet you can guess what the bad news is... It was about 48 deg today and it starting raining so I gave in and had a day in the kitchen. Well I have to say I enjoyed myself being in the kitchen again but I missed maning the Q and it's distinct flavor. But all in all everything turned out great and I was a good day.

Thanks Mike, that is one way of looking at it. The worst part is it only rained for about an hour, but I was already well under way in the kitchen. The cold I don't mind but the cold rain I don't like.
