Here are some pics of the cookout for this years OU/Tx game. Unfortunately the game did not turn out nearly as good as the grub.
pork loin
spare ribs, trimmed to a St. Louis cut
rib trimmings
slathering the pork loin
ribs slathered and rubbed
loin slathered and rubbed
onto the smoker
Brisket was started Friday night...
...along with a couple butts
pork loin turned out great!!
perfect beverage for Q, or anything else for that matter
some bologna for the wife and kids
awesome ribs
brisket was good, but a little dry...not my best effort
pulled pork was great too
I didnt get any pics of preppin' the brisket or butt cuz I was in a hurry. I'll post the slather recipe in the rub/sauce/slather section. The rub I used on the pork was just greek seasoning(Cavender's) and cayenne. Was really pleased with the flavor considering how easy it was. _________________ Mike

Food looks delicious... as for the game, if your food had gone the same way as the game went for you, it would have been a smoldering chunk of carbon...
sorry..... _________________ Smoke 'em if you got 'em.... |

OMG! Kinda like the Lockness monster and Bigfoot, there are things I have hear of but knew it could only live in someones sick over imaganitive mind. like something I have heard of but didnt realy think was real, but here it is in real life. BBQ'ed Bologna! For the love of christ, will man never stop eating things like eye of nute and buffalo dung, cat hair and BBQ bologna? Some things set a path in our lives that cant be reversed. ANYONE eating BBQ Bologna has no right to win an important game of football in these here United States!

Oh boy that makes me wanna fire up the Q today. You got me interested in the bologna for sure, what did you do to it? Any prep or was she just tossed on? Great pics, great chow, thanks for sharing.
