Here is updated pics on the build. I think that I am just about ready to start building a trailer. I lined the firebox with fire brick to try and reduce heat loss. Will send more pics when I get the doors made and ready for sandblasting. Should I sandblast the inside too or just the exterior of the tank?

smoke n fyrman, I am loving it. Very Happy A whole lot of thinking is going on there and you have the touch very nice build for sure. As for blasting the inside I am with Chuck from what I have seen you don't have much need for that. Unless you just want to sweep the mill flake off the new metal. I did on the one I just built mainly because the pipe and plate was pretty old and had some pretty heavy rust.

Thanks KAM for the compliments on the build. I cant take all the credit...if it wasn't for all of the great advice from Stilwell Chuck and the rest of the good advice gained by this site.

I also can't wait to to see this one in action, the build is coming along great,
Personal chioce to Blast the inside of the cooker - New steel No - but if there is rust or welding Slag etc: you want to get rid of, then go ahead and blast it, but spray the inside with cooking oil A.S.A.P.

If Stillwell Chuck is giving you Advise - Doe's That mean this Cooker is going to be Red ? Very Happy

Nice job S-N-F!

Even not taking into account you are both from Stilwell, that build screams "Stillwell Chuck" to anyone that has ever seen Chucks work (which is just fantastic, so good choice of build helpers).

Yupp, paint it Ferguy red and call it done (when it's done, that is) Razz

A question for Chuck: Got any stainless lying around? Cool
