I made some sausage balls for the game yesterday and decided to "kickem' up a notch" and they turned out phenomenal !!!!!
I did the basic Bisquik recipe...2 cups Bisquik to 1 pound sausage...but I threw in a few extras.....
2 cups Bisquik
1 pound Frosty Morn HOT sausage
1 bell pepper minced
2 tbs TOBASCO
2 tbs LAWRYS seasoned salt
12 oz shard cheddar cheese
mixed it all together and then SMOKED them at 350' for about 40 minutes using Hickory wood.
They were the hit of the party !! The smoking added a very unique taste to them and they didn't last long at all !! _________________ WHY DO I HAVE TO PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH ?? |

I don;t think I've ever heard of a recipe like this before. Is the Bisquick used to bind it together into a meatloaf/meatball sort of thing, or is it used to actually make it a little crunchy or something? Just curious if it's a meatball or something totally different. _________________ --Chris Baker
