I've heard the Baby Back Shak is pretty good, although I've never eaten there.
Baker's Ribs is serviceable. If you go to the Deep Ellum location, you'll need to pay to park - meters are always active, even on the weeknds.
The Beer Can Chicken at Bone Daddy's is a great deal but it's kind of a haul from E Dallas/Mesquite. _________________ 22.5 Weber Kettle

Alien -
Been 10 years since I was living in the Dallas area... So my rec's might not be as good as they once were... I am not real familiar with too many Que joints over in Mesquite besides the chain-type operations... So you may have to go into Dallas.... The Original Sonny Bryans on 2202 Inwood Road (not the other "newer locations) is kind of a "cornerstone" of Que in Dallas... I have had some great brisket sandwiches and onion rings there in years past while sitting in an old wooden school desk (I don't like any of their newer locations)... And Bakers Ribs would definitely be worth seeking out (2724 Commerce)... Angelo's and The Railhead over in Ft. Worth are also longtime favorites for many folks...
There is a website - www.dallasfood.org - Go there and do a search using the word "Barbecue"... They did a 10-12 part series a while back called "DFW Quest for 'Cue "... Pretty decent series of reviews on many Que joints in DFW, including a lot of "dives" most folks would pass by.... You might want to look through the entire 10-12 parts of series and perhaps discover a joint or two over in the Mesquite area...
Hope you have a good time in "Big D"....

If you haven't bee to one of the South American style places (like jet deck suggested), Fogo de Chao and/or Texas de Brazil are good bets. _________________ Let's hope SoEzzy can ditch his heavy hand on photos in 2016!
