Went to Rochester MN over the weekend. Since the Mayo Clinic is there, some may venture up that way.

There are two well known places of Q up there that I want to share my opinions with.

1. John Hardy's BBQ- I think this would be good bbq. The place has been there for over 30 years. But the Ribs and Chicken I ate was WAY over-smoked. The sauce wasn't very good either.

2. Roscoe's- This place was pretty good. I had their ribs, which they are well known for. There sauce was a whole lot better than John Hardy's, but still very different from my definition of good sauce. But that is what makes BBQ interesting....it's a regional thing.

This was my first taste of Mid-West BBQ. Not bad. But KC still rules in my book.
