Roxy, I made up a few sauces last night and put the SNS and mustard sauce in the blender. Worked real well on the SNS, but not as well with the mustard. Confused Confused

I don't think I worked the mustard sauce as long. Anyway, that was the ticket. Comes out of a squeeze bottle like a champ.

MAN, I love that SNS sauce. Very Happy

Glad you like the sauce my friend.

Just wondering, how fine do you mince the onion when your making the mustard sauce..?? Maybe try slicing the onion as small as you can. I can get em pretty tiny with a filet knife, the pieces of onion are like a 16th of an inch square.

I chop them up pretty good. I work them with my cleaver. Funny thing is, I chopped the onions for both sauces at the same time. Mich of had something to do with the cook time. I did the SNS for the full 45 min while the mustard sauce I just simmer until it starts to thincken, about 15-20 min. I think if I had left it in the blender a little longer it would have been fine. I ended up straining them both before I put it in the bottles and the strainer didn't hold anything back on the SNS sauce while there was a little paste left from the mustard sauce, not much, but a little. I just put it back in the jar for later.

Gonna do up some beef ribs tomorrow. Figure the SNS sauce will make them rock. Cool

Roxy,
All I have to say is WOW! Shocked I made a batch of this last night for the meat I'm cooking this weekend & I was very impressed. My wife loves my meat Wink , and we have tried different sauces that others have recommended. I made a batch of the apple BBQ sauce & she liked that, but she loves this sauce. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Glad ya liked it Crabman, we had it on some pulled pork for sunday dinner and my wife reminded me how much she loves that sauce.

I also reheated some brisket using the apple BBQ sauce last night for some sammiches. I have never used the apple BBQ sauce on that meat and I really enjoyed it.

Got to love competition left overs.. Wink

My last batch of pulled pork I tried a couple sauces I picked up at a ribfest.. Yeah I know, its hard to break old habits.. Laughing

Though the sauces were good they just did not give the pork that kick that the mustard sauce does........ Oh course, IMO. Wink

roxy,

Just made some of your sauce and put it on my pulled pork. It is fantastic and really kicks up the taste. I also had a buddy from Houston here and he tried it, he went wild over it also.

I much rather make this than buy something . I ordered Mrs. Griffin's mustard sauce about a month ago and like your sauce much better.

Thanks for sharing.

roxy,

I did 4 Butts over the weekend and made some more of your sauce. We had 18 people here and your sauce is the hit of the party. Everyone said they had not really tasted anything quite like it and just loved what it did to the pulled pork.

I was quick to give credit where credit was due and tell everyone that since I joined this forum I have learned a lot. One was I had no clue how to really smoke meat, read what some of you guys have been through and the mistakes that were made. This makes my learning curve a lot shorter.

Just think 15 more years and I can try brisket....... Laughing

Thanks again for sharing.
