Mine is a nickname from the days of being an irresponsible college lad. I have attempted to grow into the name at times but try to maintain more as a 'Moderate Tom' at 5' 9" and 225#.

I have embraced the character persona and also use it as part of my business name.

For most, the name 'Big Tom' and being a bbq guy are an easy combination.

Kind of mindless, actually.

I live in Maine, am obsessed with Maple syrup, name's Dave.

I actually came up with it while registering at a maple syrup site, needed a user name, was awaiting the annual 4th Sunday of March: Maine Maple Sunday, it it just sort of happened.

My other choice would have been Frank Ryan, named after a character in a song by The Pogues, but this is more appropriate for the forums.

My name came from my comp team. I got that from a guy at work, Who when really really pissed off. Refuses to swear. So you always here him yelling " That Mother Chicken did this and that!"

It just stuck, I liked it alot and had to use it.

Mine's pretty simple really, I'm from Texas, and I'm a fireman....and 03 was the year that I made up that nick.

My real name is Tanto Rodriguez, but my friends call me Bubba. (For those that didn't get that one, ask and I shall tell. It's an old joke from my college days.)

Like a few people in here, it's part of my last name (Fishman). My father and my grandfather were also called 'Fish'.

It all started one night while I was listening to "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult and drinking my 3rd or 4th Bourbon (can't rightly say how many I had that night). I was registering on my first forum and decided that "ZillaTheGrilla" was a clever name....but everyone just shortened it to Zilla and that was that. Laughing Remember the background vocals right before the guitar break... zilla... zilla... zilla... zilla... zilla subliminumal I guess.

They probably meant "Flaco" which you are.

Mine is fairly simple. It's my first name followed by the initial of my last name. Depending on who I'm talking to, I'm sometimes refered by my real name of Adolph, but many hispanics will call me Adolfo, so adolpho meets in the middle. There are other variations of my name that friends and family have used through the years, but this one is the most fitting.
