Here's mine all finished. My main questions are, is four 3/4" holes in the lid enough? and I am using a maverick temp gauge, and running the cord through one of the holes in the lid. This is a pain every time i have to take the lid off. Would it screw things up if I drilled another small hole in the side of the drum to run my cords through?

fat_boy81, how did you attach the legs? I assume you just cannibalized them from a grill?

I can answer that ... This is the exact pic that gave me the idea for my build.
I used a donated POS grill, and modified the cart tables a little so I could hang the lid.
I used bolts to fasten it to the drum.
I now have a dome lid ... I can still hang it on the side. I like that! Very Happy Very Happy

Stainless steel drum, with 2 1/2 threaded bung in the center of the lid. Threaded for firehose fitting.
Out of all of my drums this thing is incredibly efficient.
And pretty too........

Better to go ask your questions in the cookers section.

This is the cookers sticky section, not really for active threads, the cookers section is a better place.
