|
|
Newbie here, Hello everyone!
Sorry if this question is in the wrong forum.
Has anyone ever made their own cold smoke generator? I have seen the smoke pistol and the ebay home brew version, but I was wanting to build my own. I like the idea of using pellets, as I often use Trager pellets in my smoker, but the logs for the smoke pistol would get to be expensive!
Any ideas?
Thanks! |

Since I received no reply's, I thought that I must be out of my mind to want a cold smoke at times.
Patience folks, I am a newbee.....
How does one post pic's?
I have created the ultimate cold smoker for about $10.00 bucks and a bit of my time.
I'd love to share some pic's, I just don't know how!
Thanks!

I was looking around the garage today trying to come up with a idea for a smoke generator.
The only thing I can come up with is to modify my (used to be propane) Sunbeam table top grill with some sort of tin hose attached to the top of the lid then running to a Coleman air pump (used to pump up air mattress’s) and off the other outlet, another piece of hose leading into my gas smoker.
The smoke pistol does look like a great idea, but I have to agree…the cartridges would be very costly.
If I ever do get around to making this generator I’ll post pics. |

Both of these are great ideas and extremely cheap. Must say Alien's might be the cheapest with stuff that already on hand. But then again I might actually have a use for that soldering iron I got 3 Christmas's ago and never used. _________________ CG SP w/ Mods

Another idea is a pice of flashing, some charcoal and wood chunks.
In this type of cooker.
