The owner is offering a reward for returned meat!
Hmm, I want some improperly stored stolen meat
The cynical part of me say's it is a scam, An innside job for insurance purposes.
the guy probably had a cooler go down, the meat rotted. and he set up a fake break-in to collect his losses in insurance.

What could a guy use to haul 38,000 pounds of pork in a few hours?
