Well I got back last night from a week long shopping spree with the wife and got some bad news. After unloading the Expedition, my youngest boy comes in and reports that the roof has caved in on the BBQ pavilion I had built over the summer. Apparently, over the weekend, Roswell got 11 inches of snow in a 24 hour period and the canvas roof captured most of it. I went out to check it out this morning and sure enough, there was still 8 inches of melting snow being supported by the canvas roof and broken 1 inch tube stock supports. Guess I know what I will be doing this weekend with the welder! Fortunately, all the BBQ equipment was okay and my wood was still dry so I can fire up the smokers today! _________________ https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaeloberry |

Sorry to hear that Michael!
Looks like another shopping spree in now in order- at Home Depot!
How about something sturdy like 2x6 roof trusses mounted to 4x6 columns and metal roof?
Works like a charm for me, never had any chance of snow damage to my porch! _________________ BBQMAN
