I took my family to one of my favorite places today and thought I would share it with all of you.
This is Massbrea falls near Dunsmuir, Ca. The falls are 40ft plus high and are spring fed. The springs also supply Dunsmuir it's drinking water. The falls flow right into the Sacramento River seen in the foreground.
This image was stiched together from seven pictures I took today. It's a little misleading in that the section of the falls on the left look taller than the rest. This is because I was closet to that section The section on the right was about three times a s far away from me. To give you an idea of scale, the bolder on the left is about 5ft x 8ft. The falls are about 25 to 30ft behind it.
This is another view I took about 4 years ago with different equipment.

Hi BBQMAN,
Dunsmuir is about a 3.5 hour drive north on I5 from Sacramento. I'm in the Redding area which is about 2/3 the way there. If you decide to make the drive up some time, I'd be happy to show you the way to the falls. Once in Dunsmuir, it's about a mile walk up river along some railroad tracks to the falls.
