LOL Roxy, I have several citrus trees on my place but my fav. is my ruby red grapefruit. Grapefruit taste & sweet both..Great for marinades, dressings, & best for Blush screwdrivers..Haven't been able to use for over 2 yrs...

Well, take a Pepcid AC chewable right before and your good to go dude. I kept Zantac in business for years till I discovered the pepcid product.

Of late I keep my stress to a minimum, every thing is a little thing right..? One tablet in my pocket and I am good to go... Unless its a competition.

I wont get into how at the age of 40 I all of a sudden could not eat really hot food any more, well I can eat it but the next day.. Oh man, burning ring of fire out the back end and that ain't what I call fun.

Age changes everything. Can't eat as much as 25 years ago (47 now). Don't get acid much but when it hits I nail one or two pepcid completes which kills it right away. BBQ isn't a problem unless oversmoked, overspiced, or oversauced. Real problem is on the way out not going down or while digesting. I can eat most anything but pay for it later. Talk about the fire down below!

I know, TMI.

I think that is what Johnny Cash was singing about.. The burning ring of fire... I suffer the same. Mild, thank you very much..!!

Here is a surprise to me. I have had chronic indigestion since I was teenager. That was 50 years or so ago. I have taken every remedy I ever heard of and several pickup loads of baking soda. A couple of years ago I discovered Prilosec OTC and haven't been without it since. Works really well! Well about 6 weeks ago I made some homemade sauerkraut in a crock. I didn't heat it, cook it, or anything like that. When it was through fermenting I just put it in the refrigerator and ate it raw. It was so much better than store bought that I ate a pile every day. NOW HERE'S THE KICKER: Ever since I started eating the kraut I have not had indigestion, nor have I needed to take a Prilosec. Go figure....

But, did you have to install a larger fan in the bathroom?

That's the question I want answered. Wink Wink Laughing Laughing

No, but I certainly would be willing to if that's what it took to avoid indigestion.

Mommy said, I was born with a sore stomach!

I went to a gas grill 25 years ago because I would get sick from the food from a Charcoal or wood fired smoker/grill. Now at almost 47 I can eat a meal now and then from charcoal. A gas grill everynight no problem.

Heck I made my first ECB gas fired 15 + years ago.

Heck I can skip eating and still have heartburn at 10:00 P.M. every night. So if I eat a lot of store preped foor. (The add water and stir stuff) it's bad. So it home grown meat and other things for the most part

Yep...I'm 73 and I took most of what you guys mentioned ..I just kept moving down to cheaper pills..I found Wal Zan 75 (Walgreens) works the same but cheaper..30 minutes before eating..Plus the only cooking oil in the house now is Canola...That helped with fried food and gravy. I fry a lot of fish and other seafood. Also had to give up coffee after lunch. No late meals. So now no more stomach problems...I just have other aging problems..lol

The number one aging problem is you don't know if its a health problem or your age..like vision or lack of energy..but retirement is great..my 12th year!

For me, overly greasy or oily foods can cause much stomach discomfort. You could try a nice lean smoked turkey breast (the deboned & deskinned kind you find for cheap in the freezer section.) Give it a light rub down w/ olive oil and herbs, and wrap it in cheese cloth. Let sit overnight, then throw on the smoker till it gets up to 180*. The Cheese cloth will keep the OO close to the meat, thus keeping it moist, w/o leaving the meat oily. Or at least thats how the guy who made it tells me he did it.
