I'm doing 10 butts for concessions at a Gospel sing Friday and Saturday. I'm also trowing on some ABTs and as previously discussed inthis forum http://www.thesmokering.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1246 I'm going to try some pulled prk pizzas in the oven on my Kingfisher Kooker. I'll try to put in some pictures. _________________ If God did not want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat? |

| Been eat'n to much fried food lately. Gonna fire up the smoker and cook 2 slabs of ribs and some yard bird, got one 30 pack of Natural Lite. Thought I would experiment with some catfish fillets. Tried it before but was'nt impressed. I guess some things belong in grease. |

Got my plans for Ponca City set.
I will be sitting around shooting the bull with Mike and smelling the smoke from a bunch of smokers.
GOOD TIMES!

Please tell me you are going to Fenway to root against the Sox.......
Even though I live in VA I am a NYer through and through and have to admit that between queing and playing with my 2 girls i will be tuned in to my Yankees and even keeping an eye on our Nationals. _________________ Dinger |

Dude I hear you. It is me and the dog against the world in my house. Of course he prefers my 9 month old, so I generally get dissed by him. Thankfully they let me sneak down to the basement to watch a game or two(actually I watch almost all the Yankee games on DirecTV) and run the smoker. Generally my five year old daughter will sit and tell me how much Boston stinks and that she likes Jeter. The Indians are a nice young team, but I have to root against them and Boston every game the rest of the way. I actually have one of those I root for the yankees and anybody who Beats Boston shirts. I am just hoping the Yankees keep playing well as I have already thrown 5 remotes into the woods this season (I keep an extra one ready as a backup just in case).
I am hoping that some smoking will make watching the games a bit more pleasant and less nerve wracking this weekend. _________________ Dinger |

Love college football...enjoy the Cavaliers..........but I only watch football to get me through to Spring Training. On the other hand, football season is a perfect excuse to fire up the smoker and make runs to Hooters for some wings. _________________ Dinger |

| Two slabs of side ribs tomorrow and a whole chicken or two on Sunday. Just got 120 lbs of pellets dropped off, hickory maple and alder, as well as two briskets from my friendly local Traeger dealer. He says business is really taking off up here and the wood Q word is spreading fast. PS I'm experimenting with Q sauce and it's really good if I do say so myself. I may never buy store bought again. Have a great weekend all, Roy |

This is a Cajun weekend - 2 slabs of ribs rubbed with Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning, a pot of maque chou simmering on the stove, and a batch of the world's best deviled eggs - Justin Wilson's "Devilish Eggs". Dem's so good dey make you tongue slap you brains out, as Justin used to say.
I sure do miss him, he was a jewel - a damn fine cook and entertainer. I have all his cookbooks and use them constantly.
