| Go Sox nation as they put a hurtin on the Rockies last night. I admit its going to be a tough series. Especially when they go to Denver to play a mile high. |

Go SOX. Originally from Boston. Game was great tonight. Rockies will have it tough tonight against Schill. Looking forward to Manny and Big Papi in that thin air. _________________ Bar-b-Chef offset |

My brother lives in Denver and my Step-son lives in Boston -- it's hard for me to decide who to root for.
But, I did carve a pumpkin for my step-son this year (this is one of those foam pumpkins you can get at Michael's)...

| WOOOO HOOOO 2 in a row. I think its going to be a tough one for them in Colorado with no time to acclimate to the altitude. I predict a win in game 6 in Boston. |

I just dont think they will drop 2 out of 3 to bring it back to beantown. That would be a blast to have them win it at home. Love that dirty water!!! _________________ Bar-b-Chef offset |

I've been saying since game 1 of the ALCS that the winner of that series would win it all. The AL is just plain better right now.
With that in mind, I've been an Indians fan all my life, I love the NL brand of baseball. I hate the DH, it ruins the game. Call me a purist, but if you can't play the field and bat, then your not a complete player. _________________ When all is said and done, more will be said than done! |

I couldn't agree more with you there. Every player should have to play both sides of the game. Otherwise they might as well make it like football where you have an offensive and defensive set of players. _________________ Steve

Oooohhh....I LIKE that idea!
Of course I don't like the baseball product as a whole right now, so my opinion means very little. |

You don't get that now with pitchers hitting, most most them struggle to get to .100 anyway so why even bother calling them "players" in either league
I prefer the DH rule, I absolutely hate the automatic out rally killer that most pitchers are. You can hide behind lesser pitching when the lineups aren't stacked with good hitters. You already have situational players, baseball has always had them. Why would you rather have a pitcher hitting in a critical situation than Ortiz? The NL is about the only league that has pitchers hitting, most minor leagues and college has the DH, very few are getting any hitting practice coming up. They just need to accept the fact that the DH rule is superior and adopt it, it makes the play on the field better. I see too many rallies killed by working around hitters to get to the pitcher to end an inning, I just don't see how that makes a better game.
I am both a Red Sox and Rockies fan (Rangers also but they never do anything past the all-star break), we went to a Sox game at Fenway and Rockies game at Coors last season. I have MLB Extra Innings and usually switch over to the Rockies or Rangers games after the Sox game. That being said.....Go Sox. |

Well it seems that the Red Sox pitchers can actually hit the ball and put the DH issue to rest. I thought the Rockies would actually put up a fight and bring it back to Boston, boy was I wrong. Lift up corner of rug as the Rockies were SWEPT under it.
WOOO HOOO Go Sox Nation with 2 in 4 years. |
