Although I'd have thought my percentage was a little higher than that by now. Wink

Saying its the cook is how lazy people justify a pellet oven.

Once again....gonna hafta disagree. A good cook can cook great Q on anything...like even winning a RGC on a pit he's never used before. A set it and forget cooker(gas, electric, pellet, whatever, etc.)will help a sorry cook create consistently terrible Q. IMO, since we're all stating our opinions here, you should really get out and cook a little more. Wink

There's hundreds of types of cookers for the same reason there's hundreds of types of golf clubs. You think you could show up playin' outta Tiger Wood's bag and play golf just like he does because you're using his clubs?? Confused

By this logic I should have won The Jack every year now, but so should have everyone else.

Hey bluesman250, I know you are the same bluesman on the rbjb getting everybody fired up about FAB. I like your style. You certinally made good use of the "How to Win Friends & Influence People" seminar. Wish I could stay and chat more but I gotta finish diggin my traditional in-ground pit. The electrician will be here first thing in the morning to wire up the augger.

I'm not looking for validation, i could care less if people who lack real pitmaster skills need an electric oven powered by pellets to cook. Its their choice. I just better not hear them refer to themselves as pitmasters.

I'm a Pitmaster.

I'll add that to my signature now, thanks!

Help me, sing along...

To the tune of Monty Python's (my heroes) "I'm a Lumberjack"

OHhhhhhhhh

I'm a Pitmaster and I'm okay
I sleep all night and I cook all day

Chorus:
He's a Pitmaster and He's okay...
He sleeps all night and he cooks all day

I cook with pellets, I smoke I meats
I go to the lava-a-try
On Friday's I start my contests
and put pellets in my FE

....to be continued

So, for you to personally define Pitmaster, let's post YOUR credentials and I'll post mine, then I'll put a Poll out there and let people vote.

See, you have to establish your credibility to set standards before people will listen.

Here's a URL for you, check it out:
