I'm going to be doing a BBQ on Sunday for my family to welcome me back to the area. I'm looking for suggestions on a good menu, I'm thinking of doing some pulled pork and beef. Does anyone have any good example menus of events for family get togethers they've done in the past?

Thanks,
Smokin Joe

I recently provided this menu to a family for a birthday party:

Apps
Cherry Tomatoes stuffed with boursin cheese
Sliced fatties
Fresh fruit tray with pineapple boats/blueberries/strawberries/melons
Cold tail-on shrimp w/sauce
Cheese tray with smoked gouda, brie, etc. with small toasts

entree
Smoked brisket w/sauce
Smoked turkey with peach chutney
Green salad w/fresh peaches, herbed pecans, feta cheese, vidalia dressing
Twice baked potatoes, w/green onion tops, bacon bits, sour cream
Four-cheese macaroni and cheese (some kids were there)
Roasted asparagus
asiagio bread and sourdough rolls

Dessert was bakery cake with assorted HaggenDaz ice creams.

It was good.

ABT's
Jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon and smoked/grilled (and sauced with a rich, thick sauce...kc masterpiece works well)

Side:
Sliced tomatoes and onions, crushd garlic, chopped fresh basil...all mix in EVOO, red wine vinegar, and balsalmic. Salt and pepper and garnish with dried or fresh parsley. Is great.

Red pototoes sliced, onions sliced and rosemary...mix...put in casserole dish and drizzle with EVOO, butter and garlic. Salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley. Cook in oven covered for 2 hours on 375.

Beef brisket or ribs

Pecan pie topped with vanilla bean ice cream.
