For those of you who use Kingsford, I saw at my local HD that they had 2 twenty one lb bags for $13... Thought it was a good deal...

If you try Rancher's original briquettes you'll start hating the word kingsford.

Many HD's have it for $2.99 per 20 pound bag. $6 for 40lb's of the even, low ash, long burning briquettes you have EVER used.

yeah.. the HD i originally got the K didn't have the Rancher... A week later I'm in another HD and I see the Rancher for 2.99.. So I go home, get teh unopened K return it for my $13 and get 7 bags of Rancher...

Don't typically have many options up here for fuel... Lots of Match Light and Kingsford, but no other briquettes... Even Lump is not the easiest thing to find... Lowes has teh Cowboy junk... I'd have to hunt around for anything else.. and it's pricey..

Local Sams keeps the Kingsford stocked, the two 22lb bags for $12. But after using Rancher I will never use Kingsford again. Even if you have to pay 5/bag.....40lbs for 10 bucks...cant beat it. I have 400lbs in my garage. I bought some at 2.99 others at 5.00 a bag

I sent HD the email...

FUnny story though... the woman who was handling the returns moved to checkout.. you shoulda seen the look on her face when she saw me come thru with the 7 bags of Rancher.. you could see the wheels turning like, "hrmmm,, isn't this the same guy who just returned those 2 bags of K"...

I asked her how she thought teh R was selling and she said she thought it was moving fairly well..

This was the Mansfield Home Depot for those local to me. South Attleboro didn't stock it when I was last in there.
