Thanks bobbque1, were excited about the new rig and getting know it a little better.
AOB was our first comp on it. We had just picked it up the Wednesday before and only cooked a few pieces of chicken to try it out.

Just got a call from the Jenks Riverwalk lady and she was verifying that I wanted in the contest and that it was still on.
She is calling all the teams from last year to make sure they still want in.
Mike can probably shed more light on the subject and details but she said she was emailing the form out tomorrow.

Well I got a copy of the Jenks application this morning via email but it was in Microsoft Publisher format. Even though I have Publisher I could not open the application because it was created with a newer version of Publisher. Did anyone get a copy in Word or Adobe format by any chance?

You'll be getting another entry form soon(later today probably). We made a few changes this morning. Prize money increased, no steak this year, sausage instead, no anything butt. Still some details on logistics to work out, but they are ready to get this thing going so it looks like we are a go.

I talked to Alicia this morning about the problem and she is sending another email this afternoon in adobe format.
She said most people have had trouble opening it.
Keep me posted if you don't get it or pm me your email address and when I get it I will send it to you as well.
You should get the other format though in her resend.

How bout a sauce category. How come nobody ever does a sauce category around here. I think that would generate some interest.

I sent it on to work where we have a current version of Publisher and got it opened and converted to DOC and JPG... but if it changing, I'll wait on the modified PDF version.
Prize money increasing...? OH DARN!!!

Sausage! Hurray! (My sausage is LOT better than my steak...  )
Mike, could you please ask them to verify whether People's Choice will be strictly the supplied brisket, or if it can still include other food items as it was last year? I know that usually they like all the food they can get for People's Choice at the comps around here, but I like to see it verified with the organizer. The way AOB stipulated theirs is nicely clear and specific.

being a newbie I must ask : are spaces reserved and is it best to arrive 11 ish? any idea of turn-in times at this point ? and PC time ? and..and.. my setup seems to be 18' wide so I'm safe at 20'x20' I ass/ume....thanks for the pointers oh wise ones !
