just in case there are no takers, what's the best way to prepare you wood for smoking?, bark on orbark off?

Bark on for me. As long as your burning a nice clean fire, I haven't found the bark makes any difference. Plus, I'm just too lazy to take it off Cool

Who has 'que in Portland?

Well, the Busters locations (there's one off of I-5 in Tigard and one in Gresham; there may be one other) serve real smoked meats, as opposed to an oven. It's not bad but won't make you forget about the B-B-Q restaurants in TX.
