Strange in its best days this site would average 80 to 120 visitors, and at least that in members. Now we very seldom hear from members but have been averaging over 200 visitors looking but not joining or joining in. Seems people are interested still but not enough to join in. Just sayin...   |

| Noticing an uptic in traffic on other bbq forums that I have visited in the past, maybe covid-19 stay at homes are searching for a new hobby. |

| I have never understood what happened to the site. In about a 3 month period we lost 80% of the regulars, and the rest just faded away. I realize life gets in the way, and Gary was either AWOL or chest beating for a while but of all the Q sites I visit this one was always the best. Look at the few replies to this topic, every one has been a member for over 12 yrs. To quote a certain plumber "JUST SAYIN"... |

Shear lazyass is about all that keeps me from doing it.
I have 1 each 4'x8'x1/4" and 4'x8'x3/16" steel plates, 60 to 80 gallon naked compressor tank laying on its side.
All inside my 2500sq' welding shop  |

I've been AWOL for quite a while, perhaps a few years. Not sure why but I just quit visiting. It may have had something to do with ownership and internal politics and getting distracted with other things in life. I've tried to pop in occasionally but MalwareBytes kept raising a fuss about the site being suspect so I didn't tempt fate. Just by chance I tried again today with no warnings. Thought I'd check in and see what's cooking.

That is a long and involved story. It was talked about and argued over openly on here between Gary and the members. I too miss the old days it was at one point a s--t ton of fun! I made some solid friends on this site. |
