Chimney Placement

I have a RF and feel like the smoke misses the botttom rack closest to the fire box. I have the chimney at the level of the second shelf. Could the smoke be rising above the bottom rack and missing it? Should I lower the chimney to the botto rack? I normally see the chimney on the top. Any thoughts? it's hard to see with the doors open.

Before you move the stack, try playing around with how the racks are loaded. Sometimes placing material in different spots (whether it is meat, veggies or plain old bricks) will have a dramatic effect on internal airflow within the cc. Keep in mind, you don’t necessarily have to stand directly in smoke coming from a campfire to smell like smoke.
