I finally scored a tank! It's 21" diameter and 48" long. An old compressor tank. I want to build a reverse flow, with a square firebox. I'm thinking 18"x18"x18" for the FB. Should I weld in a reverse flow plate, or am I better off using loose 6" wide tuning plates? If tuning plates are used, how to manage grease to drain it out? I know RF plate can have fall to it so the grease flows to drain pipe.
I also need a good source for hinges, handles, thermometers, gasket etc.
I plan to use gasket on the CC and FB doors.
On the FB door intake vent, is round or square a better design?

Thanks for all suggestions,

Tim

Howdy! Not an expert here but seen a few good builds that may have some good guides and leads:

My buddy is recently got an old compressor as well. We'll start his cooker build right after we finished installing the new brake kit and American racing wheels on his current truck project.
